Basic Directions of New Technology Development of Seamen Professional Training

Main directions of possible development of computer process engineering of seamen professional training are considered in the paper. The intellectual training units, mathematical simulation of navigational processes and electronic manuals are considered from basic essence positions. The paper informs about development of these software products and their maintenance on the Navigation Chair of the MSTU.

Constructions of the navigational safety zone of a vehicle and its kinematic characteristics based on observation of two diverse points of the vehicle

The possibility of the construction of a navigational safety zone of a mobile vehicle and kinematic characteristics under observation of its two distant points has been considered in the work. The method of observing of coordinates errors of any point of the vehicle, when dispersion ellipses of observation points are known, has been worked out in the paper. Navigation which can be based on this kind of information concerning the vehicle has been called by the author as a two-point navigation.

Zermelo navigational task: an analytical solution for a vortical field

The solution of the Zermelo navigational task for the flat rotational velocities field has been obtained in an analytical form. The specific solutions of the task under various relations of velocities of a curl and a moving vehicle are given as examples. These solutions have been obtained with the help of the MathCad application.

Compression of navigational tables by the Wolsh base

A possibility of the using of the Wolsh-Paly functional base for the linear and rectangular tables compression has been considered in the work. All the formulas, necessary for it, are given and the actual effect of information compression has been shown on some examples. The method can be used both for preliminary compression of information, and by its processing in a real time scale.

Solution of Cermelo navigational problem for free axial field of velocities

In this paper the distributed semantic retrieval information system user interface intellectuality support problem has been considered. As a solution the application of expanded systems-wide thesaurus as the basis of intelligent interface of the distributed semantic retrieval information systems has been proposed. The definition of shared thesaurus expansion by units of the top-level ontology and meta-properties has been represented. The inquiry formation technology based on identification procedures of its meshing possible variants that allows the thesaurus application as the basis for intelligent user interface design has been developed.

Parametrical identification of maneuvering characteristics according to results of environmental tests of the "Zigzag" type in non-linear model of vessel controllability

The method of results' processing of the standard test "Zigzag" allowing to obtain maximum information has been proposed in the paper. It is based on development of the right part of the differential equation of the change of vessel turning movement angular velocity in Fourier series with consequent factors' adjustment.

Generations of random process of irregular sea roughness for modelling the behaviour of an object at anchor

The algorithm of programme generation of transverse effort and rotating moment caused by irregular sea wave has been presented in the paper. The algorithm uses spectrum densities of the given power features and canonical decomposition of the casual process on trigonometric functions.

Estimation of errors of deviations from track line at vessel steering using observation of two spaced points

The deviations error estimation of two points on midship line to specified route line when using these deviations for steering has been considered in the work. It has been proposed to use an "arbitrarily" given point for calculating deviations when using these deviations for steering.

Simulation of guided movement of vessel along the line of position

The method of controlling movement of vessel performing mooring operation to another vessel has been proposed. It is based on determining the current values of deviations of the bow and stern points of the vessel from the desired path and on the subsequent formation of the control signal that is proportional to the deviation. The assessment of effectiveness of such management has been given. Software simulation of guided movement in accordance with the proposed method has been carried out.

Calculation of forces acting on towage objects from towing connection

The paper presents the method of calculation of forces acting on objects engaged in towing operations from towing connection used in modeling of towage process of one vessel by another. It has been shown that the application of the algorithm is expedient for modeling of movement of the towage system "towing vessel – towing line – towed vessel".
